This musculoskeletal evaluation enables us to develop goals and a specific treatment plan tailored to your individual needs, as every person heals differently. It also establishes a baseline to help us measure and track your progress and, if necessary, modify your program accordingly.
Once the evaluation is completed, your therapy program begins. Whether you are on land or in the water, the therapy staff is always there beside you, monitoring your progress to make sure you are getting the most out of your therapy.

We accept most major insurance plans.
Medicare, workers’ compensation and motor vehicle insurance plans are also welcome.
Our staff will verify your insurance benefits prior to your first visit and let you know what responsibility you may have, such as deductible, copay or co-insurance.
See a licensed physical therapist first without a prescription from your physician. Research shows that the sooner an injury receives physical therapy, the sooner the recovery, with less cost.
Q: What should I expect from the first visit?
A: During your first visit, you will be meeting one of our skilled physical therapists who will evaluate your posture, range of motion, strength, joint mobility, and function. You and your therapist will discuss your pain or limitations and how this affects your daily functions. A unique plan of care will then be designed by the physical therapist.
Q: Do I need a prescription to get started at Aquahab?
A: You don’t need a script to be evaluated, but you may be required to have one prior to beginning treatment. Your first evaluation will be faxed to your doctor for a signature. When that evaluation is signed, it acts as a prescription which allows the therapist to treat you. Direct Access is available for most insurances and this allows you 30 days of PT treatment without a RX.
Q: How long does an evaluation take?
A: Your evaluation will be approximately one hour.
Q: How long does a treatment session take?
A: Treatments vary from 2 to 3 times a week, and range from 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours per treatment. This will be discussed and explained during your first evaluation.
Q: Do you accept my insurance?
A: We are in network with most insurance plans.
Q: How much does this cost?
A: As a courtesy to our patients, we will verify your health benefits prior to your first appointment to find out your benefits for physical therapy. If you do not have insurance we offer a self pay plan. Please contact our office for more information on our fees.
A: You should wear loose, comfortable clothing with comfortable shoes if you are doing therapy on land. Please wear your bathing suit under your clothes and bring water shoes and a towel if you are doing both land and pool therapy. We suggest that you also bring a change of clothes to change into once finished with your pool session.
Q: What temperature is the water?
A: The pool is kept at a therapeutic temperature, between 89 to 94°Fahrenheit. The warm water increases blood flow to the muscles, allowing for ease of movement.
Q: Will I get my hair wet?
A: You do not need to go underwater. When in the deep end, you will have floats on so as long as your hair is short or tied up, you will not get your hair wet.
Q: Can I wear shoes in the water?
A: We encourage patients to wear water shoes in the pool.
Q: Do I need to know how to swim?
A: We don’t use the pool for swimming. You are always safe and supervised throughout the whole session. You do not need to know how to swim with aquatic therapy. You will have floats on in the deep end and a licensed therapist will be with you at all times.
Q: What happens after therapy ends?
A: We offer our bridge to fitness, which offers one free month at one of our fitness centers.
Q: What should I bring with me to my Initial Evaluation?
Please bring your prescription, a photo ID, and your insurance cards.
